Edward "Ted" Ashton Morton, Jr.

Edward ???Ted??? Ashton Morton, Jr, age 82 of Oxford, NC, passed away on March 4, 2018. He was a native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Edward A. Morton and Alice Gooch Morton. Ted was a man who loved to work with his hands and could do anything he set his mind too. He retired from the Masonic Home for Children as a cabinet maker. Ted is survived by his wife, Carolyn Morgan Morton.?? Also surviving is his daughter, Diane Williams and her husband, Bob of Oxford, their two children Hunter and Ashton. He is also survived by brother-in-law???s, Hayward, Tommy and Jimmy Morgan, all surviving. He was greatly loved and will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be at 12:00 pm on March 10, 2018 with a Service by Reverend Jenny Wilson to immediately follow in the Chapel of Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Oxford, NC. The family would like to acknowledge and thank all medical and caring personnel at Sunrise, Granville House, UNC at Hillsborough and Central Regional Hospital that have cared for Ted.
