Dwight Thomas Emory, 65, died on Sunday, December 16, 2012. Dwight, a Durham native, was born to Walter Thomas and Alma Daniel Emory on May 31, 1947. Dwight graduated from Southern High School in 1965, and worked for Wright machine prior to joining the Navy in 1966. He served active as well as reserve duty until 1972. Dwight had a number of skills and interests. He had a love and passion for music with the uncanny ability to play any instrument he put his hands on. He also enjoyed his time being part of St. Philip's and tending to his gardening activities at home. Dwight worked at Durham Regional Hospital as maintenance supervisor for over forty years. Dwight is survived by his wife Carolineemory of the home, son Daniel Tyson Emory, daughter Anneelizabeth Rosati. as well as his two sisters Jean Emory PateOtis and Jo Aneemory ThomasEddie, grandchildren Elijah Kien Emory, Elyse Marie Emory, Logan Linley Rosati, Delaney Dell Rosati. He also had step grandchildren Camden King, Savannah King, Trevor Lineer, Callen Lineer, from his step daughter Jenneer King as well as step sons Carl and Ralph Lineer. He was preceded ineeath by his brother James Breneemory. A Funeral Service will be offered 2:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2012 from St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 403 E. Main Street, Durham, NC 27701. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit from 6:00 8:00 on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.
