Dorothy Nicholson Rogers

OXFORD: Dorothy Nicholson Rogers, of Oxford, died Monday, March 11, 2013 in Wake County. A native of Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of the late G. C. Nicholson and Zora Allen Nicholson and widow of Eugene Rogers. Dorothy was a member of Oxford Uneed Methodist Church where she served as secretary. She was also a member of the UMW and the Cosmopolitan Club. Funeral service will be held at Oxford Uneed Methodist Church oneednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm by Dr. David Haley. Entombment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends oneednesday, March 13, 2013 from 12:30 until 1:45 pm at the church prior to the service. Surviving is a daughter, Barbara Rogers of Oxford. She was preceded ineeath by Myrtle Haskins, Glover Nicholson, Jr., Mary Woodlief, and Zora Roberson.
