YOUNGSVILLE: Danny Lee Thornton, age 66 a resident of Youngsville died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 At Wake Med. He was a native of Alamance Co. and was the son of the late Daniel James Thornton aneessie Lucus Thornton. Mr. Thornton was a retired Captain with the Raleigh Fire Department and a veteran of the US Navy. A memorial service will be conducted Friday night October 29, 2010 at 8:00 P. M. in the Hall Wynne Funeral Home Franklinton Chapel by the Rev. Clyde Waiden. Visitation will from 7:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. prior to the service. Surviving is his daughter Michele Thornton Bogue and husband Jeff of Goldsboro; sister Betty Garrett and husband George of Durham; brother Charles Steve Varner of Spring Hope; two grandchildren, Brendan Rouse and Matthew Bogue both of Goldsboro; nieces, Toni Colon and husband Sam, Donna Brickey and husband Dennis and Patricia Franks and husband Paul. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation, 2501 Blue Ridge Rd., Suite 250, Raleigh, NC 27607.
