Colleen Thrift Petty

Mrs. Colleen Thrift Petty, 87, formerly of Old Sanford Rd., Pittsboro, died May 8, 2009 at The Laurels of Chatham. Mrs. Petty was born in Chatham County oneeptember 25, 1921, the daughter of John W. Thrift aneedith Dean Thrift. She was a graduate of Pittsboro School and retired from the textile industry where she had worked as an ineector. Mrs. Petty was a member of Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Hanks Chapel Uneed Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall following the service. Mrs. Petty is survived by a daughter, Barbara Worrell and husband Rex, of Southern Pines; a son, Wesley
