Christopher Shawn Clark

April 27, 1971 — June 29, 2023

Christopher Shawn Clark, age 52, died on Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was the son of Charles Clark and Cheryl Cates Armstrong. Chris began his full life in Lawton, Oklahoma on April 27, 1971.

Chris was a man who loved his family and friends. He had a good heart and deeply loved his daughter, Katie. He believed that everyone was important and equal, and he never passed judgement on anyone. He loved spending time sitting on the front porch and sharing a good joke with all. Chris had a deep-seated passion for antiques, hot rods and thoroughly enjoyed a good home-cooked meal. He lived each day to the fullest.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Clark Rutherford and her husband, Steven and their son, Cole. He is also survived by his father, Charles Clark (Bridget); his mother, Cheryl Cates Armstrong (Bob); his sister, Gabbi Clark Long (Michael); his brother’s, Jeremiah Clark (Alexandra) and Jacob Daniel “JD” Clark (Libby Sides) and nieces and nephews, Lillian Long, Hope Clark, Dawn Clark and Layla Bentley. He will be greatly missed by his grandmother, Peggy Cates and many extended family and friends too numerous to name.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herley Cates; his stepfather, Buford “Bo” Turner and his beloved dog, Annabelle.
