RALEIGH- Charles T. Leonard, 81, of Raleigh died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at his home. He was born in Lynn, MA oneept. 8, 1931, the son of the late John J. Leonard and Mary Farrell Leonard. He is preceded ineeath by his wife Patricia Ryaneeonard and his granddaughter Mary Lucille Driscoll, his son-in-law James Driscoll, his brothers James and George, as well as his sister Virginia Paradis. Charles graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lynn, MA and received his bachelor's degree from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. Charles served with pride in the Uneed States Coast Guard during the Korean War. Uponeeturning home, he served his fellow veterans during a 40-year career in laboratory services for the Veterans Administration. Charles is survived by his daughters, Marie Driscoll of Elizabethtown, KY; Jeanne Charbonneau and husband, Todd of Colorado Springs, CO; Kathleen Tobin and husband, James of Raleigh, NC; sons, Johneeonard and wife, Vickie, of Franklin, TN; Lt. Col. Robert Leonard and wife, Carole, of Elizabethtown, KY; Charles Leonard and wife, Michelle of Yorktown, VA; brother, Fr. Johneeonard of Newburyport, Mass.; sister, Joanne Powers of Newburyport, Mass.; grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Julie, Aneew, Elizabeth, James Leonard; Sean, Kevin, Matthew Charbonneau; and Madison, Kiera, Quinn Tobin. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Fr. David McBriar, OFM and Fr. Johneeonard presiding. Friends may visit Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 from 6:00-8:00pm at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main Street, Durham, NC 2770.
