Brodie Lee "B.L." Mason

Mr. B.L. Mason, Jr., 85, of Apex, NC, peacefully passed away, in his home, while surrounded by his family Wednesday night, June 20th, 2012. A native of Chatham County, B.L. was born son of the late Brodie L. & Anee Cummings Mason, Sr. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably during the Korean War. Upon coming home, B.L. worked for aneeventually retired from the Ford Motor Company. Survivors include his wife of nearly sixty years, Lib Mason; his son, Ronee Masoneessica, of Apex; his daughter Patt Sturdivant Terry, of Chapel Hill, NC; his six grandchildren, Ashley Whitaker, Blaine Sturdivant, Leslie Mason, Brittany Sturdivant, Taylor Mason, & Parker Mason; and several cousins. The family will receive friends 6-8:00PM Friday, June 22nd, 2012, at Hall-Wynne funeral Home in Pittsboro, NC. A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 23rd, at Bells Baptist Church, 1274 Farrington Rd., Apex, NC 27523.
