Betsy Riley Harris

Mrs. Betsy Riley Harris, 80, of Jones Ferry Road, Pittsboro, died January 21, 2009 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Harris was born in Burlington on October 6, 1928, the daughter of Leslie Walter Riley and Laura Valentine Fogleman Riley. She was a retired bank teller, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Uneed Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Annette Harris, and Bob and Shelby Harris, all of Pittsboro; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Harris was preceded ineeath by her husband of 44 years, Bobby H. Harris, Sr., her parents, a brother and two sisters. The service to celebrate Mrs. Harris' life will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 24, 2009 from the graveside at Mt. Pleasant Uneed Methodist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmy Owens and the Rev. Rex Brooks presiding. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall following the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mt.
