Ben Tyree Woody

OXFORD: Benjamin "Ben" T. Woody, a resident of Oxford died Saturday at his home. He was a native of Johnson Co. and was the son of the late john Tyree and Mildred Stephenson Woody. He was preceded ineeath by his wife Jearlean Owen Woody. Ben was a retired car salesman and was a member of Peace's Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Monday January 9, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Peace's Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Bruce Brooks and the Rev. James Shelley. Burial will be in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving is his daughter, Elaine Woody Peele and husband Sandy of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Benjamin Todd Peele and wife Jenneer, and Ashley Ward Peele and fianeeacute; Ryan Marshall. He was preceded ineeath by brothers, Dan and John and by a sister Mary Elizabeth Ellis. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:30 until 3:00 PM in the church prior to the services.
