On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, Barbara Ann Marciniak Naples, 62, died at UNC Hospitals. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Raymond and Rosalie Gino Marciniak. Barbara was an avid UNC Football fan who spent many Saturdays cheering for the Tarheels with family and friends. She was a member of Hope Community Church and was very active with Kid City Ministry. In addition to her family and friends her list of things she loved included animals, babies and the elderly. Sometimes when you meet a truly lovely person, you become better for having known them.Barbara was one of those rare people. She will be dearly missed by the many people who were graced by her presence. Surviving are her children; John Naples, of Joliet, IL, Lisa Williams and her husband Charlie of Chapel Hill, Carl Naples and his wife Cindy of Raleigh, Gino Naples of Bentonville, AR, and Marc Naples and fianeeacute; Steffanie of Tampa, FL; one brother, Thomas Marciniak, II and his wife Linda; one sister Linda Cooper and her husband Chuck; grandchildren Sydney, Greg, Jada and Gabriel; and many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Hope Community Church with Pastor Mike Lee and Pastor Marcia Mount Shoop officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A private cremationeeremony will be held at the Hall-Wynne Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations canee made to Kid City Ministry, Hope Community Church, 821 Buck Jones Road, Raleigh. Arrangements are under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Durham.
