Alice Jane Hayes

Bahama – Jane Hayes, age 74, died at Duke Hospital on November 17^th, 2021. She was born on June 4^th, 1947, to the late Hugh and Novella Wilson.

Jane graduated from Hildebran High School in 1965. She went on to study at Watts Hospital School of Nursing from 1965 to 1968. She started working as a RN at McPhersons Hospital in 1968 and retired from Regional Gastroenterology Associates in 2016.

Jane is survived by her husband of 51 years Larry Hayes, her brother Dean Wilson, her daughter Pam Wilkins (Ricky Wilkins), and her son Jeff Hayes (Karen Hayes). Jane has 6 grandchildren, Trace Wilkins, Skyler Wilkins, Mikaela Wilkins, Dustin Hayes, Kristen Cooper, and Derrick Cooper. She has 3 great-grandchildren, Madison Stutts, Arya Hayes, and Presley Cooper. Jane was preceded in death by her grandson Dustin Cooper and sister-in-law Patti Wilson.

The graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2:30 pm at the Poole Family Cemetery on the corner of Leon St and Duke St in Durham, NC (right behind Our Savior Lutheran Church) with Pastor Eric Prenshaw officiating the service.
