
Mrs. Norma Neems Horton, 66, of Farrington Point Road, Chapel Hill, died peacefully in her home Thursday afternoon, June 4, 2009 following a period of declining health.
A native of Orange County, Mrs. Horton was born in Hillsborough on June 24, 1942, the daughter of A. V. Neems and Texxie Squires Neems. Mrs. Horton was the owner/operator of Norma’s Houskeeping cleaning service, and was a member of the Church of Living Water in Staley.
Surviving are her husband, Brodie Horton, of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Tamar Horton of Siler City, and Tom and Karen Godwin of Durham; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Bill Golat of Pittsboro, Sherrie and Jeff Mooney of White Cross, and Lucy and Skippy Godfrey of Mebane; two grand-daughters, Anna and Amy Godwin; one brother; and three sisters.
