George Steward is one of the finest men that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I am proud to have been a member of his family. Condolence from Jenny Greggor on November 6th, 2014 6:28 pm

Sadly, I never had the pleasure of meeting Elaine and Peggy’s father, George, but I do know that he is greatly loved by his whole family…. It takes a true gentleman to head up an all female household – 4 daughters and a wife. I take my hat off to him! He will be deeply missed.

Condolence from Jerry Cepel on November 7th, 2014 12:35 am

Your father sounds like a remarkable man. I would have loved to have had the opportunity to meet and talk with him. I didn’t even know who or what the Ghost Army was until I looked it up. Fascinating reading – they did a good job of keeping it secret for 50 years. You must be very proud… Thank God for men like George Edward Steward – may he rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. I’m sure he will be missed, but take comfort knowing he’s in a much better place.

Mr. Steward, thank you for fighting for our freedom – your dedication to family, and your exceptional service to this great Country – you are a true American hero!
May God bless you, your family, and the United States of America.
In HIS holy and precious name – Amen.

Warmest regards,

Jerry & Tracey Cepel
