Mozelle Brooks Green

Mozelle Brooks Green, daughter of the late Manley and Nellie Snipes Brooks, was born in Chatham County on October 15, 1924. She departed her earthly life on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in her home at the age of 89.

She attended school in Chatham County before moving away. While living in New York, she met and married the late Jule Green. She resided in New York until she retired and returned to Pittsboro, NC where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Rodgers, James and Eddie Jack Brooks. She is survived by sisters, Annie Matthews of
Pittsboro, NC and Shirley Frierson of Brooklyn, NY; brothers, Lenon Brooks of Pittsboro, NC and
Shelton Brooks of Washington, DC; and, a host of nieces and nephews.
