Dearest Daughters and entire family, Oxford has lost one of the most lovely ladies to ever grace this town. Miss Louettie was just one of the loves of my life. Just a casual “run-in” always made my day. I love your entire family, all the brothers, sisters and the younger ones whom I never met I am sure follow in her sunshiny footprints. I know you mourn her loss, but oh! what a brilliant angel heaven has gained. I pray for you all and most profoundly that God will send His utmost comfort to each of you. It was quite evident that you were really “wrapped up” in Mama…it shown on your faces when I saw you together. Miss Louettie will be forever remembered. Love to you all!

Dear Morris/Dean family…you already know I loved Miss Mildred. I was a student of hers in Sunday School for many years, a customer of hers for years, and loved her from the time I came to Hester many, many years ago. She was always involved in some project that made Hester Church a brighter light on the hill. Her numerous creations for the Chrismon tree was a brilliant addition at Christmastime. She was superintendent of the F. R. Barlowe Dept. for many years until her health no longer permitted. Her former husband, Pluter, was SS superintendent, and I still have pictures of him presenting my Stephen with perfect attendance medals beginning at the young age of two. And Rat was a wonderful addition to the choir so long as his health permitted. Remember, all these wonderful things your parents did, Martha, Roger and Bettie Lou. And may God comfort you as you think of the brilliance your parents now bring to heaven and the rewards that must be awaiting them. My love to you all!!!
