Merle, we worked together on countless patients over the years. I always appreciated your expertise, dedication and insight. I also remember how concerned and attentive you were with your mother. I wish you a peaceful rest, and offer my sincerest sympathy to your family.

    Brenda, Matthew, Monica and family:
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all.
I pray for comfort and strength in the days to come.
Merle was a very dear friend.

Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
    Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

It breaks our hearts to lose him,
But he did not go alone,
Part of us went with him the day our Lord called him home.

    John 14 verses 1-3
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

Merle was one of our class mascots for the Stovall High School Class of 1963. He was a handsome little guy and our class was very proud of him. I am pleased to see that he was able to make such a positive impact in the lives of those hearts he touched during his lifetime. He will be remembered and honored for years to come.

Please accept my most profound and deepest sympathy. May God bless you and grant you the faith, guidance and strength to deal with this untimely loss in your lives.

My heartfelt and deepest sympathy go out to the Faucette family, especially Brenda, Matt, and Monica. I know human words cannot express or begin to fill the emptiness you must feel at this time, however God’s word will carry you and continue to carry you for the weeks and months to come. “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

I don’t remember far enough back not to know the Faucettes and what sweet folks they all are. Merle and I have picked back and forth every time we ran into each other for more years than I care to count. Brenda, you and the children will remain in our prayers in the weeks to come. Please do not hesitate to call me if you need someone to talk to. I stay up late and am not far away. 693-6040. Linda, Kevin and Chris Nicholson Love in Christ Jesus

Merle was a special man to a lot of people. We went to High School together and had many great times in homeroom for 4 years. He was also on the ambulance that picked up my mom when she had heart trouble. When he got ready to leave that day he came by the room to check on mom and me. He will be missed by many.
