I am so sorry to hear of Marisa’s passing. She and Sean were friends with my daughter, Lindsay, when they attended East. They were often at my home. She was always so gracious when she would spend the night and always offered to help in the kitchen. She loved all the animals and I think they sinced it because they loved her as well. She always had a warm smile for everyone. Sean, you have been such a special friend to Lindsay. Please call if I can help you in any way. You have my heartfelt prayers. May God be with you and comfort you in this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the parents and family of Marisa. I recall so many wonderful moments with her, having had Marisa as a student this past semester in my English IV class at Orange High School. She was a not only a beautiful and sweet person, but a bright and insightful young woman whose future showed great promise. Marisa did her senior presentation on the need for volunteering and civic work to help build the spirit of America. Her choice of topic revealed her sense of caring for the world around her. I am saddened by her passing. May God keep her well.

So sorry to hear about Marisa,I worked with Marisa at Tractor Supply in Burlington. Friday nighther last night at work she an I were the closing cashier’s.I will never forget that night as long as I live. I was upset about something and she said Linda, they aren’t out to hurt you. Those word’s keep playing over in my head. I remember one night I worked the floor for her because she hurt her foot. I went up front for something an I remember looking over at her and she was talking to a little girl who was about 8 year’s old and she had a smile on her face as she was chewing her gum. Her last night at work she told me to remind her to pay for an asparagus book. I said ok. Later at closing she came up to pay for it. She also bought a drink. As we all were leaving that night, I wish I had told her bye. …..God Bless the Family……… RIP Marisa, we at Tractor Supply will miss you dearly. Linda

Condolence from Melissa Lyles on July 6th, 2009 12:00 am

I taught Marisa Algebra I during her freshman year at EWHS. Even after I no longer had her in class she came and visited my room frequently. We had many wonderful conversations. I only heard of her death today and could not believe it. I found it so coincidental that I wore the bracelet today that Marisa gave me after a cruise that she went on while she was at EWHS. I will now cherish the bracelet even more. I think of Marisa every time I wear it. You will all be in my prayers as you have to deal with this terrible loss and tragedy.

Condolence from Camille Gagliardo on July 10th, 2009 12:00 am

Wentzell family;

Marisa was very good friends with one of my good friends, Caitlin, when she was living down here in Tucson. Caitlin and I ride together, so Marisa would frequently be at our barn, visiting with all the horses. Although i only talked to her a couple times, i am truly in disbelief that such a sweet, kind, pretty girl was taken from this earth. Although im sure shes in a better place now.

Condolence from Gail Scarborough on July 11th, 2009 12:00 am

Vicki and family,

I am so sorry. Caitlin and I learned of this loss in a terrible way, as Caitlin tried to reach Marisa to wish her a happy birthday. She was my adopted girl, for a short time. We rescued a horse together. We talked about her future and possible careers. We conspired to have Caitlin and Marisa work at a barn and go to college together. I don’t understand. I can’t figure out how this could happen. A small part of me is just lost. She is such a bright spirit.

Again, my deepest wishes for your peace and solace.

Love,

Gail
