Dear Pat, Wayne & family,

Our history with Jacque and your family goes back so far, and all of us at Hall-Wynne are saddened by her sudden death. There are few characters we are lucky enough to meet is this life like Jacque ….and God knows she is irreplaceable. Hands down, our good Creator outfitted her with some of the best human qualities – high energy, boundless joy, outrageous humor and artistic talent in spades. Jacque was wide-open, non-stop explosive fun, bringing out “the dickens” in all of us! She spoke her mind….and if that was a problem for some, well too bad. She never suffered fools gladly. And yet, we cannot omit the compassionate, tender, generous and loyal Jacque. Anyone who was her friend was loved unconditionally and protected. Jacque affirmed the underdogs in society and quietly went about making others feel OK about themselves. It was work of the Gospel, perhaps without her even aware of it.

We are blest and better for having known and loved Jacque Penny. May you be grateful for the memories of this extraordinary human treasure as you mourn her passing. Her health struggles are now over and she is at peace in God’s eternal care. And while her heart gave up on her last week, it never gave up on us. Love you dear Jacque always. “Markie”

So sorry to hear about Jacque… and sorry I could not come to visitation and service. I worked with Jacque for 11 years…. 1999-2010. We had some fun times together. Even when I was traveling not many a day went by that we didn’t talk. She was a lot of fun and had many special relationships with reps and customers all over the country. She would “cut-up” with most who got to know her. Jacque was my “go-to” person for proofreading letters and quickly tell me how to spell a difficult word. And we loved talking sports, especially Duke basketball! One story I’ll share is I was getting her one of Coach K’s book and I got him to sign it. I told him it was “To Jacque” and “that she was his biggest fan” ( I was very emphatic)… I continued saying “that she had a shrine built over her office desk!” Coach K looked up, smiled and jokingly asked if she was a stalker. I assured him no so he proceeded to sign. I told Jacque that story and she in her always kidding way got on to me… saying “oh great… thank’s Ron, now Coach is gonna think I’m stalking him!” We had fun. She was a lot of fun… always called me and many others “Baby!” May peace be with Jacque and family.
