Lowell Elree Bullock

Lowell Elree Bullock, 90, went on to the Lord Sunday, November 24, 2013. He was born December 12, 1922 to William and Lula Nelson Bullock in Pitt Co. Lowell was an active member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Durham. He was also a former member of the Mason’s, Shriner’s and Elk’s Club in Durham. Lowell worked as a barber, for over 30 years, at Carolina Barber Shoppe in Chapel Hill. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Daphne Mae Olson, Janie Rigsbee and Annie Hales.

He is survived by; his wife, of 69 years, Annie Belle Carroll Bullock; two daughters and son-in-laws, Pamela B. Ron Daniels of Stem, and Cynthia B. Dave McKenzie of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Kristi Tommy Scarantino, Scott Daniels, Becky Tommy Wade and Katie John Perdue; three great-grandchildren, Kassi and Logan Scarantino, Landon Perdue; two sisters, Earlene Smith of Durham and Joyce B. Rigsbee of Durham.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main St., Durham. Funeral Services will be held 1p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 549 Erwin Rd., Durham. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lowell’s memory can be made to Mt.
