Dear Lake & Tom: There have been many, many stories that Aunt Lil shared with all of us over the years. We loved the way she’d laugh when she’d tell them. I believe it was one of her special gifts – the ability of telling a story as if it happened yesterday.

One story that I remember was about the death of her mom and what she told Lil and the other family members gathered around her bed – “Don’t weep for me now, don’t weep for me never – because I’m going to nothing forever and ever.” Lil would typically add something like – “Mother worked hard” or “Mother had her hands full,” something like that. Then she’d smile or laugh – and move right on to her next story…

I envy the folks in Heaven who are listening to her now!

Love – Artie, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Irene, Travis, Hana, Daniel, and Josh.

Dear Lake and Tom,
We are neighbors of Lillian and shared her love of animals, DUKE, and the Republican Party. She was a “fixture” on Stuart Drive, and will be missed by all of her neighbors and friends. We send you our prayers for the sorrow in your hearts. Pam and Doug Wheeler

Dear Lake and Tom,
What a beautiful tribute and memorial service to Lillian yesterday at Maplewood with family and friends. Anyone who loved and adored children and pets as much as she did, had a big caring heart for sure. Jim has many fond and happy memories of Aunt Lillian.
Take care and please keep in touch
with us often.Love Sherry and Jim

Dear Lake. I just came across your mom’s address in my late mom and dad’s papers so I looked her and your dad up on the internet. Of course I found this posting. I am 75 and remember how special your parents were to my parents, Eula Beth and Dick Freeman. Also “CS”, guess he was your uncle, was a close family friend……actually like family….and gave me my start in a long career. Know now your memories are sweet of your beloved parents but just wanted to connect with you. The older I get the more dear our history is.

Beth Freeman Wyant.
