DURHAM- Kathleen Triana, 60, of Durham died peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Born February 20, 1951 in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Thomas Donnelly and Anne Edna Skelly Donnelly.
Kathy was a warm and loving wife and mother who always had the best interests of her family held on the highest pedestal of her heart. She dedicated the bulk of her life to being a doting mom and adoring wife, and she made a warm and happy home for her loved ones. Her strength and willpower through many years of illness were an inspiration to all of those fortunate enough to know her. She was a New York country girl who loved cowboy music, and she was a creative soul who expressed herself magnificently through art and poetry. She was also a devoted Catholic who held fast to her unwavering faith. She enjoyed the social interactions of playing bingo and card games with friends and relatives, where she would always be good for a corny joke. She always got festive for the holidays even during tough times, always played the ref between arguing loved ones and managed to mend their relationships, was always up for a Cary Grant film, loved the company of good ol’ dogs, and never passed on an extra creamy cup of tea. She was truly cherished by her children. They will forever cradle her in their hearts just as tenderly as she had always cradled them in her arms.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Danielle Boggs and husband, John of Durham; son, Kristopher Triana_and wife, Cora of Charoltte.
Memorial Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, February 3, 2012 in the Chapel Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
