January 7, 2013 By Hall-Wynne Leave a Condolence

Joseph Francis Quintavalli, age 89, died peacefully Monday, January 7, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hoboken, NJ to the late Erminio and Beatrice Baldeli Quintavalli. Joe was a member of Holy Infant Catholic Church in Durham.

He lived a long and vibrant life, and died in the company of the love of his life, his wife Renate. They were blessed this season with many Quintavalli’s visiting from near and far, so Joe was able to spend his last Christmas surrounded by what he treasured most…his family.

Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Renate Quintavalli of Durham; his three children, Joseph Quintavalli and wife, Lourdes, of Durham; Stephen Quintavalli and wife , Ruth, of Miami, FL; and Beatrice Dippy and husband, Alan, also of Durham; his sister, Rita Owens and husband, James, of Weehawken, NJ; and ten grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from Holy Infant Catholic Church with Father David J. Devlin, OSFS, presiding. Friends may visit with the family immediately after the mass in the fellowship hall. Burial with military honors will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 400 Oberlin Rd., Raleigh, NC 27605.

Arrangements for the Quintavalli family are under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. On-line memorials: www.hallwynne.com. Select obituaries.
