It was a rare pleasure to know Mrs. Crenshaw even though it was only for a few months. Her delightful smile and gentle nature was truly endearing. She welcomed me and my family, strangers from another part of the country, and made us feel like we were at home. I shall never forget her.

As a church family, we extend to Irma’s family our sympathy at her death. She was very dear to many here who recall her and her faithful membership with gratitude and with fondness. She taught so many little children in Sunday School over the years. We give thanks for her life. We affirm that ‘in life and in death, we belong to God.

Although I only knew Irma a short period of time, I learned very quickly what a smart and bright woman she was. I will never forget the time she recited “Tommie’s Prayer” to me while on the phone.
