Dear Rand family,

The passing away of your husband, father and grandfather has filled us with deep sadness. We sincerely wish you all the strength you need to cope with this loss.
Mr. Rand was a very nice and modest man. Talking with him was always very interesting. We keep on feeling a special bond with him because of his efforts during WWII when he helped to liberate Europe.
