Hall-Wynne’s Bereavement Support
We are one of the coalition members of Growing thru Grief – a group of religious and civic organizations which offers support and education to those who mourn a loss. Twice a year, GtG offers a 6-week educational series on topics related to bereavement. The ongoing format includes small group discussion and a weekly grief-related presentation. Growing thru Grief is open to anyone at any time. Meetings are held every Tuesday from 4-6 PM, centrally located at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1200 W. Cornwallis Rd. in Durham. Hall-Wynne also offers the services of licensed pastoral counselor, Rob Womack. For individuals or families our company has served, we underwrite 3 couseling sessions for those who may need assistance in working through a loss.
Rob began in a ministry of service in 2003 as a volunteer for pediatric patients and families at Duke Hospital. Since then, he has served as a hospice volunteer and as a doula for single women and couples. In 2006, he made a vocational commitment to helping people move through the difficult transitions life presents. He attended Wake Forest University where he received a master’s in divinity and a master’s of arts in counseling. A Durham native, he is an associate licensed professional counselor (LPCA) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Rob appreciates working with spiritually and culturally diverse persons facing the most universal transition: grief and loss. He counsels people of many ages from teens to seniors.
