BURLINGTON-Frank Harlan Reade, III, age 38, died at home on September 28, 2017. Frank was born in Durham, NC on May 21, 1979 to Frank Harlan Raeade, Jr. and Bronwyn Cates Evans.
Frank was born and received his education in Durham. He grew up with a passion for playing football starting in little league then in the public school system at Brogden Middle School and Riverside High School. He played tailback and after many games the opposing coaches would say that he was the fastest boy they had ever seen.
The joy in Franks’ life was his daughter Taylor. He would always make it a point in conversation with friends or strangers that he had a daughter named Taylor. There was never a bigger smile on his face than the day she was born. He enjoyed spending time with her at the mall shopping or spending time together with family and or friends during the holidays for family gatherings. During the summer months Frank would help his father in the plumbing business. Following high school, he dedicated his life to becoming a plumber. He grew in the trade from a helper to a very conscientious journeyman, with a goal in life to obtain his master license. He never hesitated to take on a challenge and never complained about any of the conditions he encountered as a plumber.
Frank was confirmed in the Catholic Church and had a firm but personal belief in his faith. And as known on his Facebook page his philosophy was “To Each His Own” and “One Day At A Time”.
To all the good and faithful friends, Frank would like to say a big “Thank You” for being a part of and sharing in his life!
Frank is survived by his daughter, Lillian Taylor Reade of Kernersville, NC; father Frank H. Reade, Jr. of Hillsborough, NC; mother Bronwyn Cates Evans of Raleigh, NC; aunt Mary W. Collison of Annapolis, MD; two cousins Jane Currin and Julie Loos as well as extended family Jean Reade, Carolyn Dawn Wentz, Phyllis Reade and Christa Delane Wentz. Frank was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Friends may visit with the family from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.
