Frances Pickett Worthington

In Memorial

Frances Pickett Worthington, age 91, resident of 1820 Dimmocks Mill Road, Hillsborough, died Sunday afternoon at her home.

Mrs. Worthington was the daughter of the late Hubert W. Pickett, Sr. and Buna Leigh Pickett. She was born in Durham and was a homemaker. Mrs. Worthington will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a charter member of Cresset Baptist Church and took special joy in caring for her friends.

Surviving are her husband, George Worthington; one daughter, Susan W. Bass and husband, Ernest J. of Hillsborough; two sons, William E. Worthington and wife, Lynne of Chapel Hill and Charles Leigh Worthington and wife Teresa of Apex; one sister, Buna P. Springle of Durham and a loving grandmother to, Will, Leigh and Mary Worthington, Cam and wife Laurie, Trent Bass and Travis, Cole, Martha Worthington and one great-grandchild, Shooter Thomas Bass.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday in Cresset Baptist Church.
Dr. Ned Matthews will preside. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Duke Home Care and Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr. Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704 or Gideon
