I had the privilege of knowing Evelyn the last fourteen years of her life. She was one of the kindest and sweetest ladies I have ever met. My condolences to the Upchurch and Webster families.

Dear Frankie, John & Jeremy:

I send my sympathy to you in the passing of Mrs. Upchurch. She was a lovely woman whom I grew to know through Bubba. He thought so much of the Upchurches. You were like his second family. Please know you’re in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Condolence from Mary Long Billings Scoggins on December 3rd, 2014 12:58 pm

I am so sorry to hear that Evelyn has passed away.
It has been many years since I have seen her, but I remember what a lovely, sweet person she was.
It is sad to say, I lost touch with many family members after my Mom, Mary Billings, got older and didn’t get around as much. I have so many fond memories of family gatherings when I was young. Where has the time gone ?
Ted and Reuben, it has been many years since I have seen either of you. I have often wondered if you were still in this area, or still with the TV station.
My thoughts and Prayers are with you all.
Mary Long Billings Scoggins

So sorry for this belated message. Was released from Regional yesterday afternoon. Evelyn was such a special lady. So enjoyed our visits during family reunions each September. May you find peace and comfort in the many memories you share with each other. God bless you.
