Edgar Ed Thomas Gilliam, Jr.

Edgar Thomas “Ed” Gilliam, Jr. 69, of Franklinton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 23, 2011.

A native of Franklin County, born August 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Edgar Thomas Gilliam, Sr. and Exie Denton Gilliam.

Ed is survived by his wife, Diane Gilliam, sons, Greg Gilliam and wife, Barbara of Bunn; Victor Gilliam of Orlando, FL; step-sons, Stacy Medlin of Franklinton; Rodney Medlin and wife, Joanie, of Altoona, AL; sisters, Patricia Gilliam Scott of Centerville, NC; Jean Etheridge of Franklinton; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton with Pastor Wes Bailey officiating.

The Gilliam family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton Chapel. Online memorials, www.hallwynne.com, select obituaries.
