Before moving to Pittsboro, NC, Milt and his family were long time residents of Tenafly, NJ.
Milt was a leader by example, role model, teacher, sage advisor and valued friend. Milt’s passion and dedication to his patients was demonstrated by his willingness to make house calls long after they ceased to be fashionable.
To all who had the pleasure of knowing Milt, he was a gentle giant of a man, an epicurean of food and wine, world traveler, enjoyed history and the arts, and above all a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Milt was married to Margaret Hilgartner for over 50 years. As he told us, “the best thing I ever did was marry your mother.” He will be lovingly remembered by all.
