I had the pleasure of working with Donald in the late 70’s. I was his supervisor but we became fast friends. I remember once being faced with the task of my first wallpapering attempt and he offered to step in to help. He basically completed the whole job beautifully! I have many fond memories of him and wish the family love and peace at this sad time.

Donald was such a neat guy…..he was always fun to talk to and had a smile for everyone! Met him years ago when the Longs lived across the street from my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Edna and Earl Kellam. Through family contacts our paths would cross through the years and it was always fun to visit! My deepest sympathy to all the family….

Condolence from Chris and Chrystel Rogers on December 3rd, 2018 6:30 pm

Really enjoyed meeting Donald. He always had some jokes or something to make you laugh. Our kids enjoyed spending time with him since he would allow them to get away with anything.
He was one of many great assets for our family.
We are lucky to have him within our family.

To all of the great Long family,

Don is one of my best memories of high school in Durham at Jordan High School. He was always warm, made you feel good as a person and a friend, and exuded positive energy! I know that continued for his entire life and certainly to all whom he loved in your family. I send prayers of comfort and hope that you can enjoy beautiful memories of his legacy soon.

Much Love,
