Condolences for the family of “Donald A. Thomas, MD”

Condolence from Debbie Selinsky on April 7th, 2014 12:00 am

My love and prayers go out to Norma, Sheryl, Kim and the rest of the family. They were blessed with a wonderful husband and father and I know how much they’ll miss him. I looked at Don and Norma’s marriage as an example of how it should really be — love and respect every day between partners and a lifetime of beautiful memories to bind them together for all time. Don was an example of a vanishing breed: a gentle man. We’ll all miss him.

I am so sad to hear of Dr. Thomas’s passing. I had the privilege of practicing with him at Hendersonville Pediatrics and having him as my own childrens’ doctor. He was a wonderful mentor to me. So kind, so caring. I will miss him as will the many, many children, now parents and grandparents with children and grandchildren of their own. My love to Norma, Kim, Sheryl and their families.

My family and I want to express our deepest condolences to Dr. Thomas’s family. Not only was he my doctor, but he was our children’s as well. What a privilege it was to have him care for them and always feel without hesitation that he provided second to none medical care with kindness and reassurance.

When our loved one dies, we need comfort in our time of grief. It is of much comfort, to me, to think of a time we will be transformed into a new body, no more pain, no more sickness, no more death, Rev. 21: 3,4 . What a grand hope we have been given.
