Del-Rae “Toby” Culbreth, 82, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Duke Medical Center. She was a native of West Virginia, the daughter of the late James H. and Tessie Walls Stone, the widow of Harold “Pete” Culbreth, and a retired nurse.
The family will receive friends at Gentry – Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home from 1:00PM to 2:00PM on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 16 in the funeral chapel at Gentry – Newell & Vaughan. Burial will follow the service and will be in the Royster Cemetery, Bullock, NC.
Surviving are her daughters, Virginia C. Hughes of Oxford, Wendy C. Powell of Charleston, SC, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and 2 grandchildren.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

Del Rae was a sweet lady. I remember her as the Stovall School secretary. Later on I saw her and she had become a nurse. Within the last few years we ran into her and Virginia Dare at George’s in Oxford and they both looked good. We prayed for the family and send our best wishes.
