Cris was a lovely man, a great “Geezer” with Habitat of Durham, much beloved by his fellow Geezers. We miss his wonderful smile and great willingness to climb ladders to do his special work!!

Uncle Chris was a stunning example of what God put men on earth to do. That is, be a loyal, loving and hard working father, husband, son & brother. His legacy is that of honor, integrity and a genuine kindness for all that he came in contact with. May God hold Chris in His loving arms until we all are joined together in heaven one day…

Uncle Cris always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. We were blessed to have him as part of our family. We are sad that he’s gone, but he left us with many great memories. So, I choose to rejoice in those memories and pray that you will too.

Dear Judy,
I was trying to look you guys up for a Symco reunion and I found this. I was so shocked and saddened. Chris was a wonderful guy. I am so very very sorry we did not know it time to see him before he passed away or even to come to the funeral. Please know you are though of.

Condolence from Camella Moore on September 2nd, 2012 12:00 am

I am feel so fortunate that I was able to spend some time with Cris, my brother, even though it was through the time of his illness. It was so shocking that he left us so soon; we certainly expected him to be with us for many years yet, but God had a different plan which we have to accept. Life is unpredictable. Love you Cris.

Condolence from Linda Crawford, Director on October 5th, 2012 12:00 am

We at the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program RSVP of Durham County are still reeling from the shock of recently learning that we have lost Cris.

Cris was a caring and respectful gentleman who delighted in sharing his time and talent in order to serve others. For the past five years we looked forward to having Cris serve as a Volunteer Tax Preparer under RSVP’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance VITA Program. Each year Cris’ service, through VITA, helped hundreds of low to-moderate income tax payers and the elderly receive the tax refund that they had worked hard for and rightfully deserved.

Judith and family we at RSVP/VITA share in your loss. God bless and keep you.

Condolence from Allamae Graham on October 18th, 2012 12:00 am

As your mother, Cris, I have always been proud of you, the man you became, kind, generous and an outstanding citizen, your generosity, your giving of yourself in so many ways. I thank God I was able to spend our last Mother’s Day together. I really miss our daily phone visits, but you are always with me in my heart. My love always, Mom
