Now, there is one lady who is really going to be missed! All my memories of Claudia are of us laughing, going to school together, working together, and partying together. What a great lady who touched so many lives.

Condolence from Cheryl Workman on July 22nd, 2018 6:01 pm

Claudia was willing to help many people. She was so pleasant and we laughed together, and worked hard together. She will be missed by so many people, she was the real thing, she loved people, and worked hard to make sure that children and trauma patients had the best care they could receive. I had the pleasure of working with Claudia as a peer for 16 years. Her compassion for people will not be forgotten.

What a loss ~ she was a friend to all, and when she asked you how you were doing, she really meant it. We should all be more like Claudia! Oh how she loved to laugh and I have the BEST memories of beach trips with her in the ’80s. . . .seems like yesterday.

So, so sorry for your loss… Claudia was always a bright spot wherever we bumped into her… on the units, in the ER, at a conference. She was always so willing to do whatever she could to help… What a loss, way too soon.

Condolence from Diane Wingo on July 28th, 2018 9:05 pm

Claudia faithfully took each rotation of my Watts School of Nursing through the PICU on their last day of the rotation. One student asked her how she could stand to see kids suffer as they do. Her response was that if she could help save their life, that was great, but that she also saw her job as helping them pass as easily as possible if that was happening. I pray someone was there for her in that same way. She was special to so, so many children, families, and peers over her lifetime.
