Dear Benji Laine, Ben, Patrick, Mildred and family,
I am so sorry that your time with Brenda now seems so brief. Benji, please find your Mom’s shining star in the sky and share it with Patrick often. Please grow from all of her accomplishments, studies, and natural abilities. Your Mom did not put in my first IV, but she was the first one to attend it, discover it was improperly administered (not in a vein) , taught me what irrigating meant and why, and watched over me through the night as I am sure she did for many many thereafter. I had NEVER had an IV before. Mildred, please continue to thrive and share your infectious laughter and energy that, to me, was so similar and very much a signature stamp of you two as sisters. If one closed their eyes, they would not know which one of you was nearby. Wishing you all many smiles and fond memories as you grieve the physcial loss of Brenda, yet celebrate her life.
Blessings,
Billie Jean Hobgood

Billie Jean,
Your words of kindness, concern, & loving memories warm my heart as I continue to miss my dear sister Brenda each day! I especially appreciate the likeness between us as you describe! We do celebrate Brenda as I know she is finally at peace and out of pain, no longer feeling a tired and worn body as it became harder for her. Brenda is at last sitting at her “Sweet Jesus” feet in a newness & warmth she so richly deserved! Thanks for coming to her memorial service. I will print your condolences for all the family! Mildred

Kathleen, know that my thoughts and prayers have been with you and family. I regret that my childhood friend and I had lost contact so many years ago. Thank you and Kathy for attending Mother’s funeral back in February. It was great seeing you.
