I got to know your mom so well while working with William and the class reunions. What a beautiful lady!! She was ready to help me when William wasn’t available, because he always left instructions. Always a smile and such compassion for her work. She will be dearly missed by everyone!! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence from Manie Parham Currin and Stephen on September 1st, 2016 11:01 am

A dear, sweet neighbor for more than 30 years, Brenda was always bright, happy and hospitable to the next-door Currins. Both of us being wives of traveling tobacconists, we shared the good and hard times, with the happy, congenial, neighborly times always at the forefront. Robyn and Keaton were always helpful when I had chores that were too great for my little one to help me handle. A lovely, graceful, talented southern lady has just passed over the bar to join the heavenly throng and enrich the music of that perfect choir! I love you, Robyn and Keaton and will pray for your peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Manie P. Currin

Condolence from Haven Godwin Parrott on September 1st, 2016 8:31 pm

Robyn and Keaton,
I’ll never forget those Toll House cookies. I’ve tried and tried to make them like she did – I’ve followed the recipe on the package to the letter – but I’ve NEVER been able to make those cookies as deliciously as Brenda did. Like those cookies, everything your mother touched was flavored with her own classy style and good taste. She was beautiful and kind. She and Frances were my second moms, you and Keaton and Granville were my Main Street siblings . . . remember playing “greased pig” with my crazy dog George in your front yard on those endless summer nights? Good times!

Life goes on, and seasons change, but love never dies. I am holding you both in my thoughts and prayers as you move through these difficult days.

Love,
Haven

Robyn and Keaton
Oh how magical was your mom. She always had the biggest and most contagious smile. She always made you comfortable and good about yourself. Such a classy lady.
Her talent was unbelievable. God certainly made her fingers work. When Cindy and Brenda played The Lord’s Prayer, well my eyes never stayed dry. God played through her. Be proud of your wonderful mother. Charles and I will certainly miss her.

Condolence from Andy Smith on August 3rd, 2017 8:59 pm

Keaton,

It has been many years since you and I have spoken. Your mother always welcomed me as well as other friends at your home when we were in high school. It was evident by her actions how much she loved you and Robyn. God has His special plan for all of us. I would love to catch up with you sometime. Please give me a call if you wish to do so.

All the best,
Andy Smith
