Bradford Alexander Lloyd

DURHAM-Bradford Alexander Lloyd, 53, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 13th at home. Brad was born in Silver Spring, Maryland the son of Kenneth E.C. Lloyd and the late Docia Cheek Lloyd.

Brad graduated with a B.S. degree from Frostburg State College in 1981 and worked as an accountant several years in Silver Spring, Maryland before moving to Durham in 1984. Brad was employed at Ken Lloyd’s Carpet Town and Carpet One for many years and also had his own carpet business. He was a member of Grey Stone Baptist Church.

Brad was a kind, sensitive, and loving person. This world is a better place because his life touched many people. He walked through the pearly gates of heaven on Wednesday and was welcomed by all his loved ones. May he rest in eternal peace with Christ and all of the Saints.

In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Sharon Q. Lloyd, his daughters, Amy C. Lloyd and Jennifer L. Lloyd; his grandson, Cameron . He is also survived by his brothers, Kenneth G. Lloyd and wife, Priscilla; Allan E. Lloyd and wife, Elizabeth and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, February 18, 2013 at Grey Stone Baptist Church with Dr. Clay Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit from 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, February 17, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 W. Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grey Stone Baptist Church Legacy Fund 2601 Hillsborough Road, Durham, NC 27705.

    I only met Brad twice, but talked to him on the phone alot. Stuart and I are very sorry about your loss. We pray that you all have Wonderful Memories of him. And we pray for God to comfort your family during this time.
