Betty Partin Ollis, beloved mother and loving wife, passed from this life to her eternal life with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Duke Medical Center. A Durham native, Betty was born to the late Kenneth and Rachel Blackwood Partin on November 2, 1933.
Betty was a kindergarten teacher at Yates Baptist Church and an active member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Betty devoted her entire life to children and her family.
Betty is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Carroll C. Ollis of Durham, NC; her son, Daniel Keith Ollis and wife, Sharon Renee, also of Durham; her daughter, Donna Ollis Quintana and husband, Glenn Gilbert, of Concord, NC; her brother, Emmett Partin of Wilmington, DE; and her grandchildren, Lauren Christine and Kathleen Marie Quintana.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 13, 2010 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service with the Reverend Ralph W. Harrell presiding. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may visit Saturday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.

Mr. Ollis, on behalf of my aunt, Lola Ward Richardson and myself, we extend our sincere sympathy for the loss of your wife. I am sorry that I have lived here in Durham all my life and did not know I had relatives living here from my mothers side of the family.
