Anna Knight Jackson

Anna Knight Jackson, age 75, died peacefully Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Hock Family Pavilion with her loving daughter, Kay, by her side. Anna was born in Clayton, NC to the late Arthur J. Knight, Sr. and Katie Smith Knight.

Anna is survived by her loving husband, Joseph L. Jackson of Durham, NC; her devoted daughter, Kay Conner, and special son-in-law, Curt Kilburn, of Pittsboro, NC; two step-children, Randy and Chad Jackson; and two step-grandchildren.

Anna was retired after 34 plus years as a dental assistant with Dr. Sugg and ten years with Dr. Service. She was a member of the Glendale Heights United Methodist Church.

Anna was a devoted member of the Creative Civitan Club which was a huge part of her life.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham with the Rev. Earl Dulaney presiding. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Home of NC in the name of Anna Jackson Endowment Fund. Please mail your donations to the Creative Civitan Club, P.O. Box 61941, Durham, NC 27715.

I am so sad that you are gone , but know you are not suffering. As a charter member of Creative Civitan club, you will be missed by so many. Know that you were much loved. My condolences to your family. I am sorry I cannot attend your memorial today as I am out of state.

I am so sorry to hear about Anna’s illness and of her last days. She was the lady that that introduced me into working in the dental field. May God rest her soul and be comforting to those that know and love her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I looked forward to seeing you again one day Anna. Lots of love.

Anna, I hope you felt the love of your family and friends today. It was a beautiful service. Your pastor helped us to look at finishing something as a beautiful thing, an accomplishment! You touched so many lives. We rejoiced in knowing our sweet, Anna, is healed and celebrating with the Father she served so well!
