
Anita Louise Matthews, 50, of Franklinton, died Saturday, January 4th after a brief illness. A native of Poughkeepsie, NY she was born July 8, 1963 to Robert and Wanda Robinson Sackett. She and her husband have resided in Franklinton for seven years. Anita was preceded in death by her father Robert, and a sister Patricia Sackett.
Surviving are: her husband, of 13 years, Andrew H. “Andy” Matthews of Franklinton; her mother, Wanda M. Sackett of Wake Forest; three brothers, Robert Pam Sackett of Hudson, NY, Bruce Nancy Sackett of Youngsville and Michael Ailene Sackett of Youngsville; three sisters, Judy William Crocco of Youngsville, Sharon Pete Sackett of Gainesville, Fl. and Wendy Al Briggs of Orlando, Fl.
The family will be present 10-11 a.m. Friday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations in Anita’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park #10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
