
Alfred Marshall Feathers, Jr. died peacefully in his home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina from natural causes on Friday, November 9, 2012.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 23, 1939 to Alfred Feathers, Sr. and Mary Feathers, and known to his friends and family as “Fred” or “Al,” he was a U.S. Army veteran; a retired fireman with the City of Baltimore; and above all else, a loving husband, dutiful father and friend to all who knew him.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Merle; his two daughters, Diana Myers and Caroline Skelton; grandchildren, Danielle Myers and H. Page Skelton, Jr.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
