Alford Forney Morris

Alford Forney Morris was born September 5, 1933 to William Ervin and Zullar Hayden Morris in Conover, N. C.
Alford accepted Christ at an early age. He was an active member of Mt. Olive AME Zion Church where during his many years of service he was Superintendent of Sunday School, teacher of the men’s class, member of the Chancel Choir and Co-Chair of the Lay Council.
Alford graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1959 with a BS in Political Science. He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation after thirty years of service as a Relocation Agent. In spite of many difficulties, he was an inspiration to those who knew him.
Alford is survived by his sister Pearl Liles, Sister-In-Law Barbara Morris, Brother-In-Law Fred Burke (Duella), ex-wife Margaret Morris, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
