Lisa, Rickey, Kathy and my precious nieces and nephews, I am so sorry for your loss. Aaron was a remarkable young man. He loved his Lord and his wife and boys. He gave totally of himself to his family. He loved his co-workers and was so excited of the possibility to get back to work soon. He never complained for himself. Lisa, you were the love of his life, never doubt that. Rickey and kathy, he loved you with all his heart and respected you and appreciated your help and love and support. He always talked about God’s plan and provisions–you taught him this. I will miss him. He always had time for his Aunt cindy and I knew he loved me. I am here for whatever you need in the days/weeks/months to come. I love you all very much

Condolence from Dale Horton on August 30th, 2011 12:00 am

Many kind things are being said about Aaron. But there is one common theme that resonated with everyone’s characterization of Aaron, and that is how much he loved Lisa, his children, his parents and his siblings. He loved being a husband and dad more than anything else. What a wonderful legacy he has left. What legacy are we building? What will be be known for? Bereavement is not only a time of grieving, but a time of reflecting as well. We may be at our best during this period because our hearts are more tender, more caring and more compassionate. We shift our focus away from ourselves to others. What if we kept this spirit on a daily basis? We may discover other Aaron’s in our path who are worth getting to know or who could use a friend. My love to each of you and God bless you during this difficult time.

Condolence from A Stranger in Cary on August 31st, 2011 12:00 am

Truly, I’ve never met Mr. Washington; I never knew anything about him until today. Yet, not wanting to intrude on this beautiful yet greiving family, I was led to give you this: “Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal!” As a Mother, I console you, Parents & Parents in Love. As a Woman, I console you, Dear Wife Lisa. As a Nana, I console you, Sons of Aaron. And as a Woman of Faith, I ask God to Bless your entire family with His Grace, Mercy and Courage to continue on. I saw in the video where Mr. Washington wears a shirt stating “Quest Completed”. Well done, my Good and Faithful Servant. It is hard to release a loved one so very young or of any age for that matter; I know. But do know this: Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning! May God Bless you all, and keep you in HIS loving care. Sent Sincerely with Love and Prayers, A Stranger in Cary

Condolence from Heather Riddle on September 4th, 2011 12:00 am

There is so much about Aaron that keeps coming to mind for his was my age and my cousin, but the one thing that is burnt in my memory and I have continued to see throughout this all is the smiles that he shared with us all while he was here! He smiled even with all that he was going through and he seemed to smile even when he was mad or sad! Aaron will surely be missed and will always have a place in my heart that will be void because he is no longer here upon this Earth with us! I know that I will one day see him again and I know that he is in a better place now along with his sister Laura Ann and my brother George. I love you all and hope that God can work a miracle of peace within your hearts and minds! With much love, The Riddle Family

Condolence from Harvey Rouse, Jr. on September 7th, 2011 12:00 am

Steven, Paul and Aaron were a tag team to say the least. I had the great honor of teaching Aaron in Sunday school and I say with confidence that Aaron is resting in his Saviors arms in complete peace. I’ll never forget Pastor Ric stressing to his boys the importance of never forgetting their sword bible. We’ll never understand this side of heaven why things happen the way they do. Please know that my family and the church family of Trenton Baptist Church will lift the Washington family up in prayer during these most difficult times.
