Truly another Icon of the Tar River Station community has left us but only for a short while. What a wonderful reunion for those awaiting on the other side now and the one we too will share when we join them. I have many fond memories of being a small child and sharing afternoons at David’s and Mattie Ann’s house playing with Cindy or vise versa. Milton Blackley was an honorable man and my dad’s (Woodrow Dickerson) very best friend and as they say, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”. I have always known nothing but good and honorable things about David or his family. My condolences to Mattie Ann and all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May God’s constant love and presence be known to you now through this difficult time and in the days to come.

Lovingly,

Janice Dickerson Gilliam
