Rilla Katherine Shaffer Patton, born May 7, 1911 in New Castle, PA, died Monday, February 28 at Magnolia Gardens Nursing Home. She was the third of seven children. Rilla was very active with the church. She was a founding member of Northminster United Presbyterian Church in Fairless Hills, PA, and was one of the first female Elders elected in the United Presbyterian Church. Roland Edward Dudley, 82, died Tuesday, February 22, at Hillcrest Convalescent Center. Born in Maysville, NC on December 4, 1922, Roland was the son of the late Thomas and Eva Riggs Dudley. Roland honorably served the citizens of Durham during his 31 year career as a Durham Police Officer. He retired from the Department on April 1, 1980.
