| Locations Griffin Funeral Home was founded in 1916 by George Jeter Griffin on its present location. Mr. Griffin was later joined by his two sons, William and James Griffin. The family business continued in the third generation with William "Bill" Griffin, Jr., who remains active with the company today. To secure continuity with a privately owned firm, Bill Griffin merged the funeral home in 1997 with Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham. Griffin Funeral Service & Cremation is managed by Arthur Sellers, with support from long-time, loyal associates who are well-known in the community. Despite the trend of corporate consolidation, we proudly maintain our distinction as a privately owned and operated company, directly accountable to the families we serve. |
